Dr Roxane Mather (aka The Fox or Spider Rotz)
Spider Rotz and I started our friendship through Dr Bryant when both of them moved down to Cape Town after medical school (They were both unfortunate enough to do their community service years in Cape Town). Like Dr Bryant, Spider Rotz and I were weary of each other at first on the basis that we both had to fight for pole position in Dr Bryants world (unknown to Spider Rotz I was the clear favourite). Spider Rotz however, had a nice car, fire red, sport version with 6 gears, 6 by 9’s and sun roof, which proved to be difficult to beat from a status perspective. The Fox (the second most tiny human being I know) moved to London shortly after I did (she unfortunately had to leave her car in Cape Town), has an uncanny ability to manoeuvre through crowds to get herself to the front at any major music concert festival but unfortunately she could not get me to the front of the Katy Perry Concert despite her best efforts to get past all the other tiny human beings there. The Fox and I live a couple roads apart and are known to frequent the local amenities but she has been known to coax me to Shoreditch (what I call Bloemfontein because its so far) to enjoy the eclectic hipsters, the beards, weird gin cocktails and underground beats (“Yiiippppppeeeeeeee!!”). Spider Rotz has been my rock here in London and never a second away whenever I need her. Without my Rotz, my life in London would not be complete!.
